Lab rat N06 has gained advanced intelligence and consciousness through testing, and finds himself seemingly alone in a dark and abandoned maze.

N06 learns early on that he  has recently been given a deadly disease, and only he is left to craft a cure and possibly escape.

Building a makeshift headlamp so he can navigate the inky blackness of the maze, N06 must navigate the laboratory by solving puzzles, crafting gear, and avoiding other creatures driven mad in the dark. 

Various scientists’ notes found in the maze provide guidance, information, and crafting recipes. From these, N06 learns what ingredients he needs for a cure. 

The search takes N06 ever deeper into the maze and growing dangers. Will N06 even escape with his short life - or die like so many others like a rat in a maze. Who knows - maybe you'll even be able to gather the ingredients and save yourself in the end.
